Heinze not allowed to leave Old Trafford

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that he will not allow the Argentine defender to leave Old Trafford for Liverpool. He cleary stated, after a 6-0 over Shenzhen, that there has been no change in Heinze’s position.

There is no change in the situation,” Sir Alex said. “He won’t be going to Liverpool as far as I’m concerned. I think the matter should rest there.”

Heinze still has 2 years to go on his Manchester United contract. Heinze has stressed through his agent that he no longer wishes to play for United.  In the club’s history, no one has every gone directly to Liverpool, their archrivals.
